That\u2019s why we\u2019re thrilled to share news of Zikoko Life<\/strong> \u2014 Big Cabal Media\u2019s upcoming anthology film series that promises to shake up the Nigerian storytelling space in the best way possible.<\/p>\n

Set to premiere this July on Zikoko\u2019s YouTube channel<\/strong>, Zikoko Life<\/em> brings to life the emotional, intimate, and complex journeys of Nigerian women who are constantly negotiating agency in a world that demands they shrink themselves. Inspired by Zikoko\u2019s acclaimed editorial series \u2014 Naira Life<\/strong>, Sex Life<\/strong>, and Love Life<\/strong> \u2014 this anthology is a cinematic expansion of stories that have long resonated with Zikoko readers.<\/p>\n

What makes Zikoko Life special?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Created by Anita E. Eboigbe<\/strong> for Big Cabal Media and produced by Blessing Uzzi<\/strong> for BluHouse Studios, Zikoko Life is, in Eboigbe\u2019s words, \u201ca cinematic, beautiful, and disruptive space for real-life truths to breathe.\u201d It\u2019s a visual universe that honours the lived experiences Zikoko has always championed \u2014 but this time, through the power of film.<\/p>\n

The anthology features three standalone films<\/strong> \u2014 each one an emotional time capsule exploring themes we rarely see treated with such nuance on Nigerian screens.<\/p>\n

When Mariam, a married woman, decides to stop having children, the fabric of her life starts to come apart. Inspired by Marriage Story<\/em> and Revolutionary Road<\/em>, this film dives into the quiet unraveling of a marriage, filtered through the lens of Nigerian domestic politics and body autonomy.
